Blaze Breaks Out at Hotel Woodland, No Injuries Reported
Kathmandu, January 29 — A fire that broke out on the upper floor of Hotel Woodland in the busy Durbar Marg area of Kathmandu on Thursday morning has been brought under control, authorities said.
The blaze reportedly started at around 10:15 am in the hotel’s upper floor, believed to be linked to the club or lounge area, according to police and hotel officials. Early indications suggest the fire may have been triggered by an electrical short circuit, though investigators are still working to confirm the exact cause.
Firefighters from both Kathmandu and Lalitpur Metropolitan Cities were promptly mobilised to the scene, with multiple fire engines and personnel from the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force assisting in the operation to extinguish the flames.
