DAO Kathmandu Issues Holi Guidelines Ahead of Election
The District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu has called on the public to celebrate Holi in a peaceful and disciplined manner this year.
In a public notice issued ahead of Fagu Purnima (Falgun 18), the office extended festival greetings while reminding citizens to maintain order and respect the guidelines.
Avoid Disorder and Public Disturbance
The DAO expressed concern over rising incidents of unruly behavior during Holi in recent years. It has strictly warned against:
Forced application of colors
Throwing water balloons or splashing water without consent
Public quarrels and disturbances
Alcohol consumption that disrupts social harmony
Officials stated that such activities can affect public peace and security.
