Kathmandu Air Quality Turns Unhealthy as AQI Climbs to 191

Air pollution in the Kathmandu Valley has worsened again. The Air Quality Index (AQI) rose from 178 on Monday to 191 this afternoon. According to US Environmental Protection Agency (US-EPA) standards, this level is classified as “Unhealthy.” At this stage, everyone may feel health effects. Children, the elderly, and people with respiratory problems face higher risks. Kathmandu Ranks Third Worldwide With an AQI of 191, Kathmandu is now the third most polluted city in the world.
