Nepal Set for Nationwide Parliamentary Elections on March 5
Nepal holds nationwide parliamentary elections on March 5 to elect 275 members of the House of Representatives.
According to the Election Commission of Nepal, voting began at 7:00 AM and will continue until 5:00 PM across the country.
The election comes six months after the political movement that led to the fall of the government led by Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli.
Thousands of Polling Centres Prepared
The Election Commission has completed all preparations for voting.
Across the country, authorities have set up:
10,967 polling centres
23,112 polling stations
143 temporary polling stations
Separate lines will be arranged for men and women.
Senior citizens, people with disabilities, and those with chronic illnesses will receive priority while voting.
