The EC has invited the public to create one-minute TikTok videos focused on voter education and the election code of conduct.
Participants must upload their videos on their own social media accounts and submit them to the Commission via email by March 1.
According to the EC, the campaign is designed to make election information more accessible, especially to young voters.
Cash Prizes for Top Videos
The video with the highest number of views among valid entries will receive a cash prize.
- First Prize: Rs 50,000
- Second Prize: Rs 30,000
- Third Prize: Rs 20,000
Winners will also receive certificates.

Focus on Voter Education
The Commission said videos must relate to the 2026 House of Representatives election. Content should be interactive, informative, and original.
Priority will be given to creative presentations that clearly explain:
- The importance of elections
- Proper ballot marking procedures
- Compliance with the election code of conduct
- Voters’ rights and responsibilities
An independent panel of experts, in coordination with the EC, will select the best entries.
Encouraging Youth Engagement
By using TikTok, the Commission hopes to reach a wider audience and improve voter awareness before election day.
The move reflects a growing effort to use digital platforms for public communication and civic education.
